Choose Between a Matched Pair or Woman Tone Bumble Bee Capacitors Each cap is hand wound on a 1932 Sprague Specialties Co. Winding Machine replica using exact vintage spec foil and paper film. They’re hand soldered, hand cast in oven-proof thermoplastic, hot vacuum impregnated with pure castor oil and hand-painted. 9 years in development, these are brand new, made in the U.S.A. in the Luxe Radio workshop, to Vintage Specs. These parts are fresh from the time machine and authentic inside and out. 1956-1960 Matched Pair of Luxe Oil-Filled 0.022mF Bumble Bee Capacitors. Woman Tone Capacitor Kit Oil-Filled 0.022mF & 0.015mF Bumble Bee Capacitors The Woman Tone Mod using a 0.015 value capacitor in the neck position gives a very balanced response and more gentle tone roll off making it much easier to dial in that Woman Tone. Components USA 500k CTS Potentiometers x 4, Short or Long, Split Shaft (fitted with additional nut for height adjustment on the Long Pots). Switchcraft USA 3 Way Toggle Switch (short or long frame). Switch Option We use Switchcraft (USA) Switches which are the best. There are 2 options, Short Frame with a standard fixing nut and Long Frame with a Extended Deep Thread Nut. Long or Short Potentiometers? (Pots) If you are unsure of the pot length required on your Les Paul guitar, then please order the Long Pots as they will fit all models and can also be adjusted in length due to the extra nut fitted, where if you order the Short Pots they may not be long enough. Short Pot threaded bushing height: 9.52mm. Long Pot threaded bushing height: 19.05mm (supplied with 2 nuts for height adjustment). Controls Volume 1 – Bridge. Volume 2 – Neck. Tone 1 – Bridge. Our pre-wired Les Paul Vintage Wiring Harness is wired to fit genuine all Gibson & Epiphone models. If installing into an imported model or a DIY guitar kit you will need to ensure the Potentiometer holes will take CTS pots (approx 10mm). This can be done using a round file or carefully with a 10mm drill. Centre to centre measurements between components Centre of neck volume pot and neck tone pot – 63mm Centre of neck volume pot and bridge volume pot – 50mm Centre of neck tone pot and bridge tone pot – 50mm Centre of bridge volume pot and bridge tone pot – 61mm Measurements can sometimes vary slightly on some Les Paul Models, so we allow plenty of movement in wire lengths between components to allow for a comfortable fit. If your measurements are different from the above, please let us know and we will build your harness to your specifications. Switch Tip The USA 3 Way Switch requires a Switch Tip that has a imperial thread. If you are replacing a cheaper switch in your guitar the tip will not fit as it will be a metric thread.
