Description Fender Telecaster HS or SH Vintage Wiring Harness with 3 Way Blade Switch To fit Telecaster Models with a Humbucker and a Single Coil Pickup This pre-wired Fender Telecaster HS/SH Vintage Wiring Harness with 3 Way Switch is designed for replacing old electrics or upgrading the electronics of imported models or for use on DIY Kits. We take a massive amount of care and attention when putting our Fender Telecaster harnesses together. Everything is fully tested before being posted to you. This is a Professional Telecaster HS/SH wiring harness using the very best in components to enhance the quality of tone and sound output from your guitar. The harness is wired the same way as a Telecaster 3 way harness, but with two differences. This wiring harness uses 500k pots for both volume and tone and includes a 470k resistor wired inline with the single coil to step down the pot to 250k. This will tame the high frequencies to keep with a more traditional Telecaster tone. HS or SH This is a Telecaster with a Humbucker fitted in the Neck SH or the Bridge HS SH = Humbucker Pickup fitted in the Neck and a Single Coil Pickup in the Bridge. HS = Single Coil Pickup in the Neck and a Humbucker Pickup fitted in the Bridge. Forward or Reverse We can configure the components in conventional forward or modern reverse layout Forward is Switch, Volume and Tone (the tone pot will be closest to the jack socket) Reverse is Volume, Tone and Switch (the switch will be closest to the jack socket) Components USA 500k CTS Potentiometers x 2, Solid Shaft. Treble Bleed Option A Treble Bleed takes the high treble tone frequencies out of the circuit at the volume pot and puts them back in the circuit as the signal leaves the volume pot. The result is a smoothed out treble and a more uniform tone from 1 to 10. Reducing the treble drop out as the volume pot rolls off. If you like the idea of retaining treble as you roll your volume pot down, then a treble bleed is for you. For the Treble Bleed Kit we use a 0.001uf Sprague Orange Drop Capacitor and a 120 Kilohms Metal Film Resistor. Our pre-wired Fender Telecaster HS/SH Vintage Wiring harness is wired to fit genuine Fender USA or Mexican control plates. If installing into an imported model, you will need to ensure the Potentiometer holes on the control plate will take CTS pots (approx 10mm). This can be done using a round file or carefully with a 10mm drill. Please also check the 64mm measurement between the centre of volume pot to centre of tone pot, as a lot of imported models are 60mm. We can build the harness to 60mm for you, just let us know when you place order. Measurements between components Centre of Switch to volume pot = 40mm. Centre of volume pot to centre of tone pot = 64mm. These measurements were taken from a USA Fender Telecaster Control Plate.
