Treble Bleed Option A Treble Bleed takes the high treble tone frequencies out of the circuit at the volume pot and puts them back in the circuit as the signal leaves the volume pot. The result is a smoothed out treble and a more uniform tone from 1 to 10. Reducing the treble drop out as the volume pot rolls off. If you like the idea of retaining treble as you roll your volume pot down, then a treble bleed is for you. For the Treble Bleed Kit we use a 0.001uf Sprague Orange Drop Capacitor and a 120 Kilohms Metal Film Resistor. Controls Master Volume control. Tone 1 – Neck Pickup adjustment only. Tone 2 – Middle & Bridge Pickup adjustment. Switching Position 1 – Bridge pickup with volume and tone adjustment. Position 2 – Bridge pickup with middle pickup in parallel with volume and tone adjustment. Position 3 – Middle pickup with volume and tone adjustment. Position 4 – Middle pickup with neck pickup in parallel with volume and tone adjustment. Position 5 – Neck pickup with volume and tone adjustment. Will this fit my guitar? Our pre-wired Fender Stratocaster Vintage Wiring Harness is wired to fit genuine Fender USA or Mexican control plates. If installing into an imported model or a DIY guitar kit you will need to ensure the Potentiometer holes on the Pickguard will take CTS pots (approx 10mm). This can be done using a round file or carefully with a 10mm drill. Centre to centre measurements between components Centre of Switch to volume pot – 48mm. Centre of volume pot to centre of tone pot 1 – 45mm. Centre of tone pot 1 to tone pot 2 – 45mm. These measurements were taken from a USA / Mexican Fender Stratocaster pickguard.
